$100,000 cash grant for Guyanese citizens – Pres. Ali

President Dr Irfaan Ali has announced a direct cash transfer of $100,000 for every Guyanese adult.

The funds will be catered for in Budget 2026, which is expected to be presented next month.

The announcement is in keeping with a promise made by President Ali on the campaign trail.

He said additional cash transfers will be made over the next five years.

The Head of State has previously emphasised that this initiative is part of a broader and elaborate plan aimed at uplifting the lives of every citizen.
