Police are investigating an alleged Assault Causing Actual Bodily Harm committed on a 14-year-old male of West Bank Demerara, allegedly by his 36-year-old father, a Police Inspector of La Grange, West Bank Demerara.
Preliminary investigations revealed that during October 2026, the suspect allegedly threw a hammer at the teenager, striking him on his left ankle and causing injuries after he reportedly misplaced a key.

The teenager was interviewed by the relevant authorities and subsequently taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, where he was seen and examined by a doctor.
Police ranks later visited the location as part of the investigation.
