Two men have died after they were this morning stabbed on Water Street, Georgetown.
Dead are 23-year-old Junior Browne and 36-year-old Tyrone Captain, both residents of Corentyne, Berbice, Region Six.
Browne was reportedly stabbed once to his neck and was pronounced dead at the scene while Captain, who received stab wounds to his neck and chest, died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
The suspect, a 29-year-old salesman of Industry, East Coast Demerara (ECD), has been arrested.
The suspected murder weapon, a knife, has been recovered as investigations continue.
