A 32-year-old fisherman of River View Sea Dam, Ruimveldt in Georgetown is now hospitalised with a stab wound after he was injured during an altercation with his nephew.
The incident occurred about 18:35h on Friday (March 6, 2026) at River View Sea Dam, Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
According to the police the victim and the suspect, his nephew who resides at the same address, were standing in the yard when an argument ensued between them.
During the altercation, the suspect allegedly armed himself with a sharp object, held onto the victim from behind and dealt him several stabs about his body.
The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction.
The injured man was subsequently transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, where he was examined by a doctor on duty and admitted in a stable condition.
Efforts are being made to apprehend the suspect as investigations continue.
