Kempton Forrester, 36, of De Kinderen Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara, was killed on Saturday after he was struck by a motor car that was reversing.

According to police reports, the motor car, #PSS 3141, was exiting a supermarket parking lot and entering De Kinderen Public Road when it collided with the pedestrian, who was reportedly crossing the roadway from south to north.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian sustained injuries to his head and body. He was taken by the driver to the De Kinderen Regional Hospital, where he was receiving medical treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.
The body was escorted to the Ezekiel Funeral Home, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.
CCTV cameras were seen in the area and will be reviewed.
A breathalyser test conducted on the driver, a 20-year-old male of Boeraserie, WCD, returned readings of six micrograms on both tests.
Investigations are ongoing.
