Mother of 1 found stabbed to death in Tuschen home

The body of 45-year-old Sonia Wilson, a mother of one, was found lying on the verandah of her Phase One, Tuschen Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) home on Monday with suspected stab wounds. The now dead woman only recently returned from an interior location where she worked as a cook. Based on reports, the woman’s body was discovered at about 15:00h by a Spanish-speaking man who had gone to sell home appliances.

He immediately raised an alarm, and the relatives of the now dead woman were summoned along with the police. Neighbours told police that they last saw her alive at about 10:00h. Following the discovery, the body was inspected by detectives, and an investigation had commenced.

Police are hoping to find nearby CCTV recording that will assist them in solving the crime. Nevertheless, up to late Monday evening, the police were yet to release any information about the discovery. The woman’s body was taken to the Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting a postmortem.
