A three-year-old girl was last evening crushed to death by a metal gate at her home at Exmouth, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
Dead is Alaia Etwaroo, who was a student of the Imam Bacchus Play School.
INews understands that the child and her sister, 4, were playing in the yard when their mother heard a loud noise.
Upon investigating, she discovered her daughter, Alaia, lying on the ground with a metal gate on top of her.
Alaia was immediately rushed to the Charity Public Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
