Some 260 grams of cannabis and 30 grams of cocaine were reportedly found during a police operation on Sunday at the Mahdia Arcade, Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni).

Based on reports received, police conducted a search at Mahdia Arcade, during which a black plastic bag containing the cannabis was found concealed between two plastic barrels. Further checks revealed a small transparent plastic bag containing a whitish, cube-like, brick-shaped substance suspected to be cocaine.
The narcotics were taken to the Mahdia Police Station, where they were weighed. The ganja weighed 260 grams, while the cocaine weighed 30 grams. At the time of the discovery, no arrests were made.
