The Ministry of Natural Resources, in collaboration with ExxonMobil Guyana Limited, facilitated an offshore visit for a team of Cabinet members to the ONE GUYANA Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel on April 17th, 2026.

The ONE GUYANA FPSO is the fourth and largest vessel in the Stabroek Block; it forms part of the Yellowtail Development.

The ministerial delegation included Minister of Natural Resources Hon. Vickram Bharrat; Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Oneidge Walrond; Minister of Public Utilities and Aviation Hon. Deodat Indar; Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning Hon. Keoma Griffith, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Hugh Hilton Todd.

The government officials were given a comprehensive tour of the FPSO, where they observed key operational processes, including offloading activities; they also engaged directly with the technical team responsible for the vessel’s performance.

The delegation also met with members of the local workforce, gaining valuable insight into their experiences and perspectives on workforce development. The engagement provided a meaningful perspective on the scale and complexity of offshore production, while reinforcing the government’s commitment to maintaining strong oversight of the sector.

Minister Bharrat also underscored the importance of the FPSO to Guyana’s development trajectory.

“The ONE GUYANA FPSO is a clear representation of sustainable oil management as it continues to safely produce over 250,000 barrels of oil per day. It not only demonstrates technical excellence and operational discipline, but it is also representative of what is possible when the government and oil majors work together to deliver value for citizens,” the natural resources minister said.

He also underscored that the Government of Guyana remains committed to transparency and accountability within the sector and will continue to ensure Guyanese benefit from the nation’s natural patrimony.
