Businessman found dead in car at Ogle

See full statement from the Guyana Police Force:

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of Satayanand Persud, a 33-year-old businessman of Industry, East Coast Demerara, who was found motionless in a motor car along the Ogle road on Tuesday August 11, 2026.

Preliminary information revealed that Persud had been uncontactable by relatives since about 13:00hrs on Tuesday August 11, 2026.

Checks were subsequently made, during which his motor car was discovered parked along the Ogle road with the engine running and Persud lying motionless in the driver’s seat.

An apparent gunshot wound was observed to his chest, while a firearm was seen inside the vehicle.
