RE: DISPUTED AUDIO RECORDING ATTRIBUTED TO MR. FAZIL KARIMBAKSH
We act for Mr. Fazil Karimbaksh concerning an audio recording circulating on social media and attributed it to him, which is AI-generated.
Our client vehemently rejects the recording as an authentic account of a conversation involving him and denies making the statements attributed to him. The said AI generated material falsely reproduces his voice.
Our position is unequivocal: the allegations against Mr. Karimbaksh must be addressed through a thorough, fair and impartial investigation, free from interference, speculation and prejudgment. Neither repetition nor widespread circulation of the AI generated audio recording establishes authenticity.
Our client expressly reserves all rights and remedies available to protect his name, character and reputation, including the institution of proceedings against any person or entity responsible for creating, publishing or disseminating the disputed material, should the evidence establish a lawful basis for such action.
In deference to the ongoing investigation, we will refrain from further substantive public comment on the recording pending its proper examination.
