Morvin George, a 41-year-old pork knocker of 14 Miles, Arakaka, North West District (NWD), is now dead after being injured during a confrontation with his nephew.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (September 29, 2026) about 08:40h at 14 Miles, Arakaka.
According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that George and his 26-year-old nephew were involved in an argument which escalated into a confrontation. During the incident, George sustained injuries to his body and subsequently became motionless.
The 26-year-old was subsequently apprehended and taken into Police custody.
George was examined at the scene by a doctor on duty and pronounced dead. His body was subsequently taken to the Matthew’s Ridge Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
A cutlass and a piece of wood were recovered from the scene and lodged as evidence.
The suspect remains in Police custody as investigations continue.
