Minister Griffith deepens direct engagement with Congressional Black Caucus Leadership

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning Keoma Griffith participated in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference in Washington D.C., where he had the opportunity to engage with several prominent members of the United States Congress and deepen ties built over successive visits from the Government to Washington.

During the visit, Minister Griffith spoke with Congressman Jonathan Jackson, where the two discussed the importance of continued U.S. support for Guyana’s developmental agenda. The Minister also held conversations with House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Congressional Black Caucus Chair Yvette Clarke, among other members of the Caucus, as part of a broader effort to strengthen Guyana’s relationships with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

Guyana continues to enjoy strong, bipartisan support within the U.S. Congress, and Minister Griffith’s engagements this week reflect the Government’s ongoing commitment to deepening these ties. Many of the conversations centered on providing Congressional leaders with updates on new developments taking place across Guyana, ensuring that U.S. partners remain informed of the country’s progress.
