20-tonne vehicle weight limit now in effect for Parika/Supenaam ferry service

The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Harbours Department wishes to inform the general public that with immediate effect only vehicles with a maximum gross weight of twenty (20) tons will be allowed on the Parika/Supenaam service.
This weight restriction on the loading linkspan bridge is to ensure the safety of all vehicles utilizing the service owing to the current rehabilitation works at the Parika Ferry Stelling.
The Ministry sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused.
