Over 3800 to graduate at GOAL’s 4th graduation ceremony on Tuesday

A batch of GOAL graduates in 2024

Over 3,800 Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) scholars will graduate at its 4th graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the National Cultural Centre, bringing the total number of students who completed their studies to 14,071.

The ceremony will be held in two sessions and celebrated under the theme “Academic Acceleration for National Development.”

The 2026 graduating class include the following academic levels:

Morning Session | 09:00AM:
• GROW Programmes: 1,150
• Certificate Programmes: 1,308
• Diploma Programmes: 76
• Associate Degree Programmes: 61

Afternoon Session | 01:00PM:
• Bachelor’s Degree Programmes: 392
• Postgraduate Diploma Programmes: 14
• Master’s Degree Programmes: 830
• Doctoral Degree Programmes: 35

Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret’d) the Honourable Mark Phillips will deliver the keynote address at the morning session, while His Excellency Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, will deliver the keynote address at the afternoon session.

Remarks will also be delivered by the Honourable Sonia Parag, MP, Minister of Education, and the Honourable Zulficar Ally, MP, Minister of Public Service, Government Efficiency and Implementation.

Since its launch in 2021, GOAL has provided 54,793 Guyanese with opportunities to pursue studies at the certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels through partnerships with 38 local, regional and international institutions.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of our graduates. Their success reflects the opportunities that education can create for individuals, families and communities,” said Dr Jacob Opadeyi, Director of GOAL.

The ceremony is being held during Guyana’s 60th Independence Anniversary year and reflects the Government’s continued investment in education and human capital development.
