Franscio Lopes, 47 and Junior Condrad, 32, both Brazilian nationals of Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil, who were arrested and charged with the offence of Illegal Entry, appeared in court on Tuesday April 14, 2026, to answer the charge.
They were charged with the offence of entering Guyana by crossing a land frontier and without forthwith presenting themselves to the nearest Immigration Officer, contrary to Section 34(1)(b) of the Immigration Act, Chapter 14:02.
The accused appeared at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court before His Worship Omadatt Chandan, where the charge was read to them. They both pleaded guilty.
They were each fined thirty thousand dollars ($30,000 GYD) and immediate deportation was ordered.
