Woman robbed by motorcycle bandits at Providence

A 52-year-old Bond Clerk of Providence, East Bank Demerara, was robbed by bandits on several motorcycles while walking along at Red Road, Providence on the East Bank of Demerara on Friday evening at about 20:05hrs.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim was walking toward her home when she was approached by three motorcycles carrying six males, when one of the pillion riders reportedly snatched her bag containing a cellphone and a sum of Guyana Currency, after which they made good their escape.

No arrests made. CCTV footage is being reviewed as investigations continue.
