Rayana Simpson, 27, a Special Constable of Lot 429 Recht-Door-Zee Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, was placed on $500,000 bail for allegedly killing her partner, 42-year-old Peter Michael Rawlins, a porter of Tucville, Georgetown, on December 3.
Today, Simpson appeared before Magistrate Rhondel Weaver at the Wales Magistrates’ Court, where she charged with the offence of manslaughter.
When the charge was read to her, she was not required to plea. The accused was subsequently placed on $500,000 bail, with condition that she report to the police, on the 15th of every month at Leonora Police Station. The matter was then adjourned to January 13, 2026.
