Top Cop underscores need for proper logistics management across police stations
Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken earlier today met with Logistics Officers from the various Police Regional Divisions at his office at Eve Leary Police Headquarters as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the Force.
During the meeting, the Commissioner emphasised the importance of proper logistics management in ensuring that police stations across the country function effectively. He noted that having accurate and up-to-date inventories is critical in identifying shortages, improving accountability, and ensuring that ranks are properly equipped to carry out their duties.
The Logistics Officers were tasked with conducting thorough inventories within their respective divisions, with a focus on assessing current resources and identifying areas in need of improvement. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that all police stations are adequately supplied and properly maintained, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and service delivery of the Guyana Police Force.
This engagement forms part of the Force’s broader strategy to modernise its systems and improve standards across all regions, ultimately contributing to better policing and increased public confidence.
