

Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand, alongside senior education officers within the Ministry of Education, officially launched the Map of Projects – a groundbreaking digital tool designed to provide the public with a comprehensive and transparent view of the country’s ongoing school construction and rehabilitation projects.
The map, available for public access today at https://v5.education.gov.gy/all highlights every nursery, primary, and secondary school, as well as dormitories, currently being built, rebuilt, or significantly extended across Guyana.
The launch of this new initiative underscores the Ministry and Government’s dedication to enhancing the country’s educational infrastructure, ensuring that every child has access to modern, safe, and high-quality learning environments.
The Map of Projects not only showcases the Ministry’s ongoing work, but it also allows citizens to follow the progress of each project in real time, with complete transparency.
By simply clicking on a location, anyone can access key project details, including the timeline, expected completion dates, the procurement process, and updates on the construction status. The map spans across all regions of Guyana, providing a detailed snapshot of the government’s commitment to enhancing educational facilities nationwide.
The platform also offers filtering options to access specific information based on criteria such as education level (e.g., Nursery, Primary, Secondary), region (e.g., Region 9), or construction type (e.g., new construction).
