The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has launched a new feature on its website for members of the public to track their tickets for road traffic violations.
The “Find My Speed Ticket” portal is available on the website https://guyanapoliceforce.gy/ticket/services/speed-ticket-offences/
Through this feature, drivers can enter the ticket number, their taxpayer identification number or motor vehicle registration number to find out the status of any tickets that may have been issued to them.
Effective today, the automated speed ticketing system was launched.
In its first 12 hours, a total of 259 speed violations were recorded. Some drivers were recorded speeding at rates as high as 152 km/h.
If a driver’s contact details are registered with the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA), they will receive a notification via SMS or email with details of the violation. If their contact details are not registered, a physical ticket will be delivered to their address.
