Several communities across Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) are set to receive direct visits from government ministers, members of parliament, and other senior officials as part of a cabinet outreach scheduled for May 31 and June 1, 2026.
The outreach will see policymakers fanning out across hinterland communities stretching from the Upper Mazaruni to the Upper Cuyuni, with President Dr Irfaan Ali leading the team. He is expected to visit Karrau, Batavia, Kamarang, and central Bartica.

On the first day, teams will be deployed to communities, including Kako, Jawalla, Quebenang, Paruima, Phillipai, and Imbaimadai. At the same time, meetings will be held in Middle Mazaruni communities such as Isseneru, Tassarene/Issano, Tamakay, and Kangaruma. In the Upper Cuyuni, Kaikan and Arau are among the communities on the schedule.
Day two engagements will be centred around Bartica and its surrounding communities, with teams visiting locations including Four Miles, Kalcoon, Agatash, Dagg Point, Mora Camp, Bydarabo, Riversview, Falls Mouth, Itaballi, Westerbeck, Kartabo, and 72 Miles, among others.
The outreach is part of the government’s ongoing effort to bring governance closer to communities across Guyana’s hinterland regions. [Department of Public Information]
