A 34-year-old former police officer has died in an accident which occurred along the Number 74 Village Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice on Sunday.
Dead is Seon Hunte of Number 79 Village, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).
Reports are that Hunte was driving a motorcar heading to Georgetown when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries whilst receiving medical attention.
