A 30-year-old delivery driver from Prosperity, Mocha, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was on Tuesday robbed at gunpoint along Lamaha Street, Georgetown. Based on reports received, the victim was riding his motorcycle along Lamaha Street, Georgetown, when he was intercepted by four men on two motorcycles.
The pillion rider on one of the motorcycles then dismounted, pulled out a handgun, pointed it in the victim’s direction, and allegedly relieved him of one white Trip motorcycle bearing registration number CL 6761, one cellular phone, and an undisclosed sum of cash.
The suspects then made good their escape. The matter was reported, and investigations are reviewing CCTV footage collected from the area. Up to Thursday morning, no arrests had been made as police continued their investigations.
