A 19-year-old resident of Number 76 Housing Scheme, Corentyne, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) lost his life on Monday morning after the car he was driving crashed into a parked truck along the Number 72 Public Road.
Dead is Nathaniel Busgith, called “Joel” of Lot 38 Number 76 Housing Scheme.
According to information gathered, Busgith was driving motor car PAP 1126 north along the southern lane of the Number 72 Public Road when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with motor lorry GAF 5822, which was parked on the western side of the roadway.
The impact left the car badly mangled, and Busgith was pulled from the wreckage by public-spirited citizens before being rushed to the Number 75 Regional Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are continuing their investigations into the fatal accident.
