Armed bandits pounced on three Chinese nationals on Friday outside their Eccles, East Bank Demerara, residence.
The incident occurred at around 15:53 hours.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims had returned home and were exiting their motor car in the garage when they were attacked by four identifiable males, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
The suspects then took the victims into the house, and allegedly ransacked the upper and lower flats. The bandits eventually relieved the victims of $500,000 Guyana currency, US$900, 1,000 Mexican dollars, 200 Hong Kong dollars, a Chinese ID card and other documents before making good their escape.
CCTV footage from cameras attached to the residence was extracted and forms part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigations are ongoing.
