Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Thursday intercepted a quantity of cannabis during an operation at Calcutta Village and Ross Village, West Coast Berbice (WCB).
Based on reports received and acting on intelligence, CANU ranks conducted an operation between Calcutta Village and Ross Village, West Coast Berbice , during which they seized 28.392 kilograms of cannabis.
However, during the operation, Andre Abel was arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters. He is assisting with the investigations.
