President Dr Irfaan Ali has announced that adults with children will benefit from increases in their income tax threshold.
The measure will take effect from next year.
The President disclosed that a parent can benefit from $10,000 per month per child as a deductible for one parent on taxes due.
This means a parent can save $120,000 per year per each child.
The current income tax threshold is $100,000.
