Police have unearthed 10 .32 rounds of live ammunition during an intelligence-led operation at Pouderoyen Tarmac, West Bank Demerara (WBD), on Monday evening.
Police stated that during the operation, ranks conducted a search of an unoccupied wooden stall at the tarmac, where the ammunition was found concealed in a concrete block behind an old refrigerator.
The ammunition was removed and taken to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station, where it was lodged. At the time of the discovery, no arrests were made. Investigations are ongoing.
