Fmr GAWU General Secretary Aslim Singh appointed Chief Labour Officer

Former General Secretary of the Guyana Agricultural and General Workers Union (GAWU) Aslim Singh has been appointed the country’s new Chief Labour Officer.

The post was previously held by Dhaneshwar Deonarine.

Singh is an experienced Human Resources/Employee Relations Manager with a strong background in legal compliance and collective bargaining agreements.

He has a Masters of Science in Industrial and Employment Relations and a Masters of Business Administration in Human Relations.

Meanwhile, GAWU has since appointed Porandatt Narine as its new General Secretary.
