Govt approves time-off for public sector workers to participate in Ram Navami

Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo today joined worshippers at the Ogle Sanatan Dharma Sabha Mandir for Ram Navami observances.
During his address, the Vice President announced that Cabinet has approved time-off for public sector workers now and in the future, enabling them to participate fully in the religious activities associated with Ram Navami.
Rama Navami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Rama, a revered deity in Hinduism, also known as the seventh avatar of Vishnu. He is often held as an emblem within Hinduism for being an ideal king and human, through his righteousness, good conduct and virtue.
