Police in Regional Division 4 ‘A’ are investigating the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis that was found on Monday March 23, 2026 about 17:00 hrs at an unoccupied premises located in South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
During an intelligence-led operation, ranks conducted a search at the premises and found eleven transparent parcels containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis, along with two television sets, a quantity of zip-lock plastic bags, two small scales, four rolls of transparent plastic wrap and one pair of scissors.
The suspected cannabis and other items found at the premises were seized and taken to the East La Penitence Police Station.
The suspected cannabis was weighed and amounted to 12.7 pounds, where it was subsequently lodged.
No arrest was made. Investigations are ongoing.
