Police in Regional Division #8 are investigating the discovery of a quantity of suspected cannabis which was found on Monday March 16, 2026 between 09:45hrs and 11:50hrs during an operation conducted at School Street, Mahdia, Region #8.
During the exercise, ranks conducted searches in the area, during which a black plastic bag containing several transparent plastic bags with small ziplock bags inside, each containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis, was found in a nearby bush.
The suspected cannabis was taken to the Mahdia Police Station where it was weighed and amounted to a total of 655 grams before being lodged.
No arrests were made. Investigations are ongoing.
