Minister of Home Affairs, Oneidge Walrond and Deputy Commissioner “Operations”, Errol Watts, along with Senior Officers of the Guyana Police Force, today attended the commissioning of the newly constructed Imbotero Police Station and Boathouse in the North West District, Region One (Barima-Waini).

The facility forms part of the Guyana Police Force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its operational capacity and enhance policing services in hinterland and riverain communities.

The new station and boathouse are expected to significantly improve the Force’s ability to respond to incidents, conduct patrols along nearby waterways and provide timely assistance to residents within the surrounding communities.

The commissioning reflects the Government of Guyana and the Guyana Police Force’s continued commitment to improving infrastructure and expanding policing services across the country.
