The Regional Democratic Council of Barima-Waini (Region One) and the Municipality of Mabaruma extend sincere gratitude to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, and by extension the Government of Guyana, for the timely intervention in providing a garbage compactor truck to serve the Town of Mabaruma.
For many years, garbage collection and disposal within the municipality relied largely on tractors to service the growing residential and business community of Mabaruma. The addition of this modern compactor truck will significantly improve the efficiency of waste collection, enhance sanitation services, and contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
The truck was officially delivered to the Municipality of Mabaruma on Tuesday March 10, 2026 marking an important step forward in strengthening municipal services and improving the quality of life for citizens.
The Regional Democratic Council and the Municipality once again express heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Guyana for this important investment in the continued development and transformation of our communities.
