A display of power hitting led by Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell, complemented by an impressive bowling spell from Gudakesh Motie, handed West Indies a 107-run victory against Zimbabwe on Monday.

West Indies made an impressive 254-6 against Zimbabwe in Mumbai on Monday in their opening match of their group in the Super 8 competition.
Hetmyer smashed seven sixes and seven fours in his 85 off 34 balls , while Powell hit four fours and four sixes in his 59. The duo slammed 122 runs in their partnership.

Motie took 4 wickets from his four overs , giving away only 28 runs. Akeal Hosein also claimed 3 wickets for 28.
In addition, Sherfane Rutherford made 31* off 13; Romario Shepherd scored 21 off 10, and Jason Holder made 13 off 4.
In reply, Zimbabwe was bowled out for 147. Brad Evans was the top scorer with 43 runs off 21 balls.
