With Government advancing its ambitious target of delivering 40,000 homes over the next five years, efforts continue to expand and diversify the range of affordable housing options to make homeownership accessible to more Guyanese.

Today, Minister of Housing, Collin Croal, was engaged by Chairman and Director of DuraVilla Homes Guyana, Mr. Anthony Whyte, and Founder and Director, Mr. Rafeek Khan, as the company signalled its interest in partnering with Government to construct a new model of three-bedroom prefabricated housing units under the national housing programme.

Also present were Deputy Director of Projects at the Central Housing and Planning Authority, Mr. Intakab Indarjeet, and Operations Manager of DuraVilla Homes, Mr. Edward Pillay.

Following a presentation by the company, the team conducted a walkthrough of a model home currently on display at the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo.

The unit spans approximately 850 square feet and features the three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living, kitchen and dining areas.
