Pensioner dies after being pinned by truck at Anna Catherina

A pensioner in his sixties was killed on Tuesday afternoon after he was struck down and pinned by a heavy-duty truck along the Anna Catherina Public Road, West Coast Demerara (WCD).

Dead is Roy Chanka, who was riding his electric motorcycle at the time of the accident.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck has since been taken into Police custody and is assisting with investigations.
