Jason Bhojedat, a 33-year-old chemist, died in an accident at Farm, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on Sunday night.
Reports are that Bhojedat was driving a bus along the Farm Public Road when a speeding car crashed into its rear. As a result, Bhojedat lost control of the vehicle, which flipped several times before crashing into a utility pole.
Bhojedat was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Meanwhile, the driver of the speeding motorcar sustained minor injuries.
Bhojedat served as President of the St. Stanislaus College Association.
“He was a kind, loving, driven, and exceptionally reliable individual—intelligent, determined, and deeply committed to service. His love for Saint Stanislaus College ran deep, beginning from his days as a proud member of Galton House💚 and continuing throughout his life. He took pride in saying he attended the Stanislaus college,” the association said in a tribute to him.
“A great mentor and an even greater human being, he touched countless lives with his warmth, guidance, and unwavering dedication. He was admired, respected, and loved by all who knew him, and his loss will be deeply felt across the SSC family and beyond,” the association further expressed.
