2 women busted with close to 350lbs of ganja during Police operation in Berbice
Two women are now in custody following the interception of 345.8 pounds of ganja during a stop-and-search operation along the Number 10 Public Road, West Coast Berbice (WCB) on Saturday.

Police stated that during the operation conducted at about 07: 20h, they stopped a motorcar with two female occupants and requested to conduct a search of the vehicle.

During the search, several brown salt bags and black garbage bags containing bulky parcels wrapped in transparent plastic containing cannabis were found in the car’s trunk.
They were arrested and taken into custody at the Fort Wellington Police Station, where the cannabis was weighed and amounted to 345.8 pounds. Both suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
