A market vendor was on Wednesday busted with a quantity of cannabis at Charity, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) during a police operation.
Police stated that they were conducting an exercise at Charity Back Street when ranks observed a vendor disposing of a black plastic bag on the ground.
The bag was retrieved by the police, and upon inspection, several small Ziplock plastic bags containing a quantity of cannabis were found.
As such, the 44-year-old vendor of Charity Back Street was arrested and taken to the Charity Police Station where the cannabis was weighed and amounted to 45 grams.
He remains in custody as investigations continue.
