A 32-year-old vendor from Central Amelia’s Ward and a 36-year-old carpenter from South Amelia’s Ward are now nursing gunshot injuries following a drive-by shooting at Lover’s Lane, Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden, on Sunday evening.
According to information received, the vendor was standing in front of his shop, while the carpenter was walking close by when a motor car drove up and came to a halt near them, during which an individual inside the vehicle allegedly discharged several rounds in their direction. The vehicle then sped off the scene.
The 32-year-old vendor was shot in the chest, while the carpenter sustained a gunshot wound to the foot. Both men were taken to the Linden Hospital Complex, where they were treated.
The vendor was referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for further medical attention, while the carpenter remains a patient at the Linden Hospital Complex.
Both men are reportedly in stable condition. No arrests have been made as investigations continue.
