Unidentified motorcyclist died in Nabaclis accident

An unidentified motorcyclist was killed on Friday evening along the Nabaclis Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD) after he collided with a pedal cyclist. 

Police stated that the accident occurred at about 21:15h and involved the motorcyclist and two other persons. 

Preliminary investigations revealed that a Honda XR motorcycle driven by the now dead man was proceeding along the public road when it collided with a pedal cycle ridden by a 23-year-old man from Sideline Dam, Golden Grove, ECD, who was at the time crossing the roadway with an eight-year-old girl as the pillion rider. 

As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist, the pedal cyclist , and the child received injuries to their bodies and were transported to the Enmore Regional Hospital, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on arrival. 

The injured pedal cyclist and child remain hospitalised as investigations continue.
