Woodlands launches new clinic at Palmyra

In a celebration of community health and wellness, Woodlands Ltd is excited to announce the launch of its new clinic in Palmyra with a Colour Fun Run|Walk and Free Medical Outreach event. This family- friendly event, designed to bring together individuals of all ages for a day of fitness and free healthcare services, will take place on March 9 in Palmyra, starting at 6am.

 The Colour Fun Run, open to participants of all levels, is the first event of its kind in Guyana, made possible through collaboration with STRIDE592. Participants will enjoy a vibrant, joy-filled adventure as they walk or run through a 2.5km course packed with five exciting color powder stations around the site of the Berbice Stadium. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to get active, this event is an excellent opportunity to get moving for a great cause – your health! 

In addition to the Fun Run, Woodlands will offer free medical services through its Medical Outreach, available to all. The free services will include basic health screenings, blood testing, ultrasounds, prostate and cervical cancer screening and specialist consultations with our team of experienced healthcare professionals. We will also be providing any required medications free of cost.

The community will also have a chance to interact with and get free giveaways from some of our gracious sponsors and supporters, including New GPC, Beepats, Cyril’s Transportation Services, Acado Guyana, Fitness Express, AnsaMcAl, Decoded Carnival and Assuria. Additionally, there will be a fresh produce farmers market on site as well as blood donation drive, thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Health.

We are thrilled to mark the opening of our new clinic with an event that combines fitness, fun, and free health services for the community. Our mission has always been to improve the health and well-being of our community, and this event is a wonderful way to kick off the services we will now offer at our new Palmyra clinic.
