UG’s tuition fees to be abolished from January 2025

Some graduands of the University of Guyana

President Dr Irfaan Ali has announced that tuition fees at the University of Guyana will be completely abolished from January 2025.

This move will immediately benefit the 11,000 current students of the institution and future students.

The President said it will cost the government in excess of $18 billion.
