Ranks of Regional Police Division #4 ‘B’ (East Bank Demerara) have arrested two males in connection with recent robbery under arms and break-and-enter-and-larceny offences.
The suspects – a 22-year-old vendor of Barnwell North, Mocha, EBD, and a 21-year-old construction worker of the said area – were nabbed during an intelligence-led operation conducted on Friday, April 10, 2026, between 15:00hrs and 17:00hrs at Mocha.
They were both arrested in relation to a robbery under arms committed on a Chinese supermarket located at Goed Fortuin, West Coast Demerara, on April 6, 2026, and a break-and-enter-and-larceny committed on a dwelling house at Eccles, EBD, also on the said day.
Both suspects were escorted to the Providence Police Station, where they were interviewed and subsequently placed into custody.
CCTV footage was obtained and reviewed from both scenes, which aided in the investigation.
The two suspects remain in custody, assisting with investigations.
