The new $2.6 billion Hosororo Secondary School in Region One (Barima-Waini) has officially welcomed its first batch of students.
The school was built to accommodate over 500 students across 29 classrooms.
The institution features a science centre inclusive of physics, chemistry and biology laboratories. It also has a TVET centre with industrial and home economics laboratories.
The contracts for the construction of the new school were awarded to International Imports & Supplies, Supreme Contracting & Supplies and the VG Group Guyana.
