ROBBERY AT THE PIARCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (“the Authority”) wishes to confirm that police are currently investigating the report of a robbery at Pita Pit at the Piarco International Airport which occurred on Friday 6th June, 2025 at approximately 10:00 p.m.
Employees of Pita Pit reported that an undisclosed sum of cash was stolen from Pita Pit. Police investigations are continuing,
The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Senator the Honourable Eli Zakour, has been informed of the incident and has been in communication with the Authority to ensure that the Airport remains safe and secure for all users.
