Police are investigating a suspected hit-and-run fatal accident that occurred sometime during the early morning hours on Saturday 07th June 2025, which resulted in the death of a 72-year-old Linden resident.
The suspected accident involved vehicle/vehicles unknown and pedestrian Randolph Braithwaite (now deceased), a 72-year-old from 1369 Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
Braithwaite’s body was found lying on the southern parapet of the 3rd corner of Amelia’s Ward access road in Linden, with what appears to be lacerations about the body, suspected to be injuries sustained as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was picked up by Ranks and taken to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr Joseph. His body is presently at Jetsco Funeral Home for cold storage and awaiting a post-mortem examination. A full investigation was launched where ranks are working on all leads.
