Randolph Kingston was today charged and released on $30,000 bail for allegedly circulating the voice recording of nursing assistant Tiana Serena Lewis-King wherein she made mischievous and false claims in relation to the autopsy of 11-year-old Adriana Younge.
Kingston appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts where he was charged with using a computer system to incite terror.
Kingston was represented by Attorney Nigel Hughes.
A wanted bulletin was issued for Lewis-King over the voice recording, which was widely circulated on social media. In the voice recording, the woman falsely stated that she was present during the post mortem examination of Adriana Younge. She further falsely stated that she was sent there by the Minister of Health.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) had contended that the recording “is clearly intended to create public mischief, pervert and obstruct the course of justice, among other criminal offices…”
The nursing assistant subsequently surrendered to the police in the company of her lawyer from the law office of Hughes, Fields and Stoby.
The woman reportedly told investigators that she had sent to recording to her friend, Kingston, who then reportedly distorted/altered her message and began circulating it.
However, Kingston’s attorney has contended that the message was never distorted/altered.
It is unclear whether the nursing assistant remains in police custody and if she too will be facing charges.
